Carlos Carneiro Gomes is a co-founder and currently serves as the senior managing partner of “PMCG, Sociedade de Advogados,” an independent Portuguese law firm. He graduated from the Lisbon Law School and was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados) in 1992. From 1992 to 1998, Carlos worked as a lawyer involved in the liquidation of credit institutions and financial corporations under the administrative supervision of the Portuguese Central Bank.
Starting in 2000, Carlos expanded his practice to cover insolvency matters across various economic sectors and legal entity types. His expertise encompasses pre-insolvency, restructuring proceedings, and company liquidation. He often represents creditors’ committees and handles legal representation for Insolvent Estates in legal actions related to liquidation activities. Carlos also represents multiple Insolvent Estates in complex transnational insolvency proceedings within the EU.
