About
Hamish trained and worked as a commercial property lawyer in the City for eight years before moving to head up the Property Law section of Thames Water in the early 1990s. In 1996, Hamish established his own practice in Guildford which merged with Gordons in 1998. He is now a managing partner of Gordons, based principally in Gordons' Guildford office.
Hamish has a broad property practice dealing with both commercial and residential property. His work includes assisting substantial American and European businesses establish property bases in the UK, acting on the disposal of multi-million pound commercial and residential auction portfolios and helping numerous sports clubs, small businesses and individuals with their property requirements.
Hamish is an accomplished negotiator with a reputation for unlocking difficult transactions and his skills are often used by clients to reactivate stalled negotiations.
