Dr. PRÉDA Katalin graduated cum laude in 1997 from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Janus Pannonius University. After working as an associate and taking the bar exams in 2000, she became an attorney-at- law and later a partner in a Hungarian law firm with international clientele. After the departure of one of the founders Dr Preda became the managing partner of the firm from 2005 until early 2016 when she left to found the PREDA Law Firm. In 2018 she established Preda & Partners.
From 2000, Ms. Préda has acted as arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Council of Internet Providers, and she served as an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration of the Money and Capital Market between 2002 and 2008 and again since 2013. Ms. Préda has been a member of the Association of Budapest Attorney-Mediators from 2003. In 2003, she obtained an L.LM degree in European law. In 2006, Ms. Préda took part in a postgraduate training in Germany as a scholar with the support of the German Federal Bar Association, and subsequently interned at a German law firm.
Ms. Préda maintains memberships in different international organisations and has a wide range of European professional relationships. Her major fields of practice are corporate law, real estate law, commercial law, data protection and privacy, negotiation and litigation. She is also engaged with alternative dispute resolution and mediation cases. She speaks English, German and Hungarian.
